What is Apologetics?

Christian apologetics is the science of defending the Christian faith. The word “apology” is derived from a Greek term which carries the idea of giving a defense. The mission of Christian apologetics is to give a sound and reasoned defense of the core truths of the Christian faith.

A good summary of the goal and method of Christian apologetics is found in 1 Peter 3:15: “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” This verse is very clear: we are to “always be prepared to give an answer”.

Christian apologetics can be summarized in two parts: (a) objective reasons and evidence that Christianity is true (it corresponds to reality) and, (b) the communication of that truth to the world.

What is No Apologies?

In a recent private study it was found that 10 out of 11 Christians hesitate to share their faith.  The Christian faith and the Bible are under an all-out assault from atheists, skeptics, critics, cultists, and adherents of other religions.

The No Apologies campaign is about communicating to the world that without apology we are Christians and we have found Truth. Founded by a board of Christian Apologists who are concerned with society’s direction, this campaign is meant to provide pillars of truth Christian believers can set anchor to. Through a weekly release of videos, study guides and other resources viewers can come to find they do not have to stand alone against the raging tide of culture.
